For the longest time, I hated reading and writing. Be it for school or work, I never looked forward to it. Then, while in college I had to do a book report. (Didn’t want to, but I also didn’t want to fail the class, either.) So I read a book that one of the Liberians suggested from her favorite author - Brad Meltzer. The book was hard to put down. I was so engrossed in it that I finished it in a little more than a day. Ever since then, I’ve been an avid reader.
A few years ago, I started having this series of weird dreams. I didn’t recognize anyone, nor any of the places; and they had no names. So, I did what I thought was the right thing to do and started writing down what I could remember from said dreams. After a month of two of just staring at the notes, I decided to give them names and use locations I was familiar with at the time. That turned into the first story that I started writing. (It’s still a writing in progress)
Then, I met Mark, who is the co-author for the Withdrawal series. We worked together for a big box store at the time, and one of his books had just been published. We sat and talked over lunch break one day and I mentioned that I thought it would be cool to work together on a story. The rest, as they say, is history. I’m thankful I said that in the spur of the moment, and that Mark took me up on it. I have learned a lot about the whole process of writing a book along the way.
As of right now, Withdrawal (book one) and Distant Love (also book one, but a very different story) are available on Amazon. The second one in the series for Withdrawal is currently at the publisher waiting for cover art at the time of this writing. I will definitely update when It’s available for purchase.
